OAXACA-KNOT ❤︎

We are so excited to have you join us as we celebrate this meaningful moment in our lives. You can find the optional week’s activities and all the essential details below. We can’t wait to see you!

Our story…

To be shared soon…

As mentioned in the invitation, we encourage you to arrive a week early, so you can get to know the beauty of Oaxaca, the magic of this culturally rich, artsy city, and the surrounding region.

Of course, being that we are adults with very busy live, we understand this may not be possible for everyone.

For those that are interested in getting to know the beaches of Oaxaca, we will also be spending 4 days at the beach after the wedding. Learn more about the beach week here (insert link).

Getting there…

Destination Airport: Oaxaca International Airport (OAX)

Flights from the U.S. often have a layover either in Texas or in Mexico City.

If you are wanting to keep flight cost down, one option is to fly on a low-cost Mexican airline such as Viva Aerobús or Volaris.

If you are on the west coast, you can find very low-cost direct flights from Tijuana airport (i.e $79 each way). There is a direct entrance into the Tijuana airport from San Ysidro (US) through the Cross Border Express bridge. I just did this a couple weeks ago and it was very easy. Highly recommend!!

From OAX Airport To Your Accommodation…

I will try to coordinate with some drivers to pick people up from the airport. A ride with a private driver to your hotel/Air BnB in Centro costs around $500 pesos.

Otherwise, rides in the ‘Colectivo’ from the airport to your accommodation are about $750 pesos

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Joining For Beach Week?…

For those joining for the week at the beach, you may want to book your return flight home from either Huatulco Airport or Puerto Escondido, so you don’t have to do the 3.5 hour drive back to Oaxaca City.

Where to stay…

As far as neighborhoods go, we think you might enjoy being near the heart of the city during the week you are there. CENTRO, JALATLACO, and XOCHIMILCO are great neighborhoods with lots of things to see, eat, and explore.

These are very walkable neighborhoods and cabs are abundant. No need to rent a car!

Things to do…

For our out of town family and friends, we want you to enjoy the city as locals. Here are some of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore in Oaxaca.
